  • Director, Kelsey Bullman

    Kelsey Bullman

    Director

    Kelsey is the director of Champion Athletics. Kelsey was a competitive cheerleader and gymnast who loves the sport of cheerleading. Since 2012, she has coached gymnastics and tumbling. In 2014, she began coaching competitive cheerleading. In 2018, Kelsey's passion for training young athletes inspired her to start Champion Athletics. She sees these athletes and their parents as family and strives to create unity within the program by bringing athletes from all different schools together.

  • Assistant Director, Stefanie Copp

    Stefanie Copp

    Assistant Director

    Stefanie was a cheerleader at the University of Virginia for four years. She also has coaching experience at the high school level and as the head cheerleading coach at Liberty University. She is currently a professor of language and literacy at the University of Lynchburg. Her workwith young children and experiences with cheer and leadership allows her to serve as a coach and in the role of assistant director. Stefanie loves sharing her love of cheer and Jesus with young athletes by coaching and supporting the planning and oversight of a program that helps each athlete grow in faith and cheerleading skills.

    Director of Flyer Flexibility

    Madi started coaching at Champion during the first season and is passionate about Champions mission to provide an uplifting Christian environment. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and a graduate certification in Nutrition from Liberty University. In addition to coaching at Champion Athletics, she also has experience coaching at the collegiate level, high school level, and have spent summers instructing UCA camps. Getting to share her passion for cheerleading with the athletes brings her so much joy.

  • Coach, Amanda Everhart

    Amanda Everhart

    Tumbling Director

    Amanda was a Liberty University Cheerleader and spent time in high school as an all-star and sideline cheerleader. In addition to her impressive cheerleading experience, she has over 7 years of coaching and leading a Junior Olympic gymnastics program. Amanda serves as the program’s tumbling director. She has a passion for strengthening technique to help athletes of any age and any skill level meet their goals.

    Crystal Irby

    Administrative Assistant

    Crystal’s journey with Champion began in the Spring of 2019 when her daughter began cheering. Her experience as a Manager & Bridal Coordinator at a local salon makes her a valuable team member to Champion’s Administrative staff. One of her favorite parts of her role here at CA is the relationships she is able to build with the staff, coaches, athletes & parents.

  • Coach, Candace Brown

    Candace Brown

    Coach

    Candace has cheered since she was 9 years old including competition cheer during high school. She is employed with the Lynchburg Fire Department as a Fire Captain and Paramedic and a student at the University of Lynchburg in the Masters of Public Health program. She brings extensive medical knowledge, athletic training, and injury prevention knowledge to the program in order to keep our athletes safe. Candace believes in helping every athlete discover their potential and will mentor and work with them to reach their goals. She is excited to share the love of Jesus with each athlete and to assist them with their individual walks in faith.

    Mikah Page

    Coach

    Mikah is a JMU graduate with a degree in Health Sciences, Pre-Physician Assistant studies, and Exceptional Education. She grew up in the cheer world between allstar, sideline, and competition teams, and joined our coaching staff to give back to others the amazing experience that cheerleading gave her. She loves the athletes and the impact that we are able to make in each of their lives in such a short period of time. These athletes have allowed her to realize how passionate she is about cheerleading and mentoring youth.

  • Coach, Kelsie White

    Kelsie White

    Coach

    Kelsie has 12 years of cheerleading experience as an athlete and knew when she hung up her uniform for the last time, she wanted to continue her passion for the sport by coaching. She has been coaching at Champion since Season 6 and is thankful for the bonds she has made with the athletes, parents, and coaching staff here at Champion. When Kelsie isn’t at the gym, she can be found “behind the chair” as a stylist here in the area.

    Madi has 7 years of cheerleading experience, both as a sideline cheerleader and competition cheerleading. Madi says she knew after she graduated that she wanted to stay in the industry and coach. All of her coaches have made huge impact in her life and she’s hoping to follow in their footsteps of being a role model and building relationships with the girls and their families.

    Meagan has 10 years of experience as an allstar competitive cheerleader. She has a little sister that is in the program who is also following in her sisters footsteps of becoming a coach as well. Getting to continue her cheer journey in a different position is her favorite thing to do!

  • Coach, Carrie White

    Carrie White

    Coach

    Carrie is a Nurse, mom of 2, and wife of 14 years to lead Daddy Cat, Nate. She loves running, yoga, or anything to get active. This is her first year coaching and she is excited to get involved more in our program with these those who are very much family to her. She cant wait to make a positive impact in these girls lives.

  • Coach, Marissa Rodriguez

    Marissa Rodriguez

    Marissa is originally from Virginia Beach, and has over 14 years of cheerleading experience both as an Allstar and sideline cheerleader. She moved to Lynchburg to attend Liberty University where she recently graduated with a degree in Social Work. With her experience in the gym, Marissa is able to enhance skill development, performance quality and bring an overall love for the sport. She is passionate about coaching because she wants to make an impact in others lives just as her coaches did for her.

  • Coach, Kayley Phillips

    Kayley graduated from JF in 2023 where she spent many years cheering sideline as well as a former Lady Lynx athlete here at Champion. She discovered her passion for coaching when she had the opportunity to be a Junior Coach in this program. She’s honored to continue her passion by joining the Champion Athletics Staff as a Coach this season.

  • Coach, Elizabeth Woolwine

    Elizabeth Woolwine

    Lizzie is married to her Highschool sweetheart and has 4 kids (3 of which cheer in the program). She is a runner & barre instructor and finds much joy in movement! Lizzie attended JMU for her undergrad and cheered for their all-girl competition squad in her time there. She is currently a teacher at the LCA and is excited to join the Champion coaching staff this season in coaching our Bitty Bengals team.

  • Coach, Mallory Evans

    Mallory is a proud mom of 3, two of which are athletes in the program. As a devoted wife and mother, you’ll often find her at the gym or on the sidelines of a soccer or football field. When she’s not cheering on her kids in their sports, she is leading her salon team and sharing her passion for the beauty industry as a National Color Educator for John Paul Mitchell Systems. Mallory is excited for the opportunity to coach these young athletes and share her passion for cheerleading.

  • Fundraising Director, Samantha Conrad

    Sam has 4 children with her husband and fellow Daddy Cat, Chad. Her daughter has cheered with Champion since Season 5. Sam has her MBA in Leadership and works at Framatome. She is passionate about the mission of Champion Athletics and enjoys helping families fundraise to allow them to be a part of this program when they may not be able to otherwise.
